We are seeking a Quantitative Researcher with a focus on methods and knowledge of the What Works Clearinghouse to join our Research & Evaluation group in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

The person in this position will contribute to projects focused on the What Works Clearinghouse including evidence reviews, assisting with data analysis, and client management as needed. The person in this position will also be expected to engage in business development activities, including responding to RFPs and developing client relationships that lead to funded work. Additional duties include:

  • Engage districts in research activities
  • Present at conferences and other events
  • Design presentations
  • Write research to practice briefs
  • Design studies, lead quantitative analysis tasks

Qualifications

  • PHD with 0-3 years of related experience or Masters Degree within Education or Social Sciences (Psychology, Public Policy, Sociology, etc.) and at least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the What Works Clearinghouse
  • Experience managing projects and budgets
  • Experience in writing for multiple audiences, including technical report writing and briefs for practitioners
  • Experience with business development
  • Experience designing research studies and leading quantitative and/or qualitative analysis tasks
  • Ability to take big ideas and develop work plans and timelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
