Role Profile

DigitalBCG encompasses a broad set of data, digital, technology and corporate venturing capabilities from BCG consulting teams and practices, along with our business units such as BCG Platinion, BCG GAMMA and BCG Digital Ventures. Our world is being driven by digital and at BCG we are at the heart of it. At DigitalBCG, you would use your expertise and generalist consulting skillset to help Boards, Senior Leaders and their teams in private and public sector solve their most pressing challenges, and think about how data, digital and technology will change the shape of their business. You would help your clients answer questions such as “How will AI create opportunities for my organisation?”, “How can businesses use data and analytics to create highly-personalised customer experience?”, “How can I delight my customers, and my staff through new digital products and services?”, “What must we do today, to create a better future for everyone, using new technologies and ways of working?” and much more. As part of our team, you would work on a variety of these topics, applying your consulting skills to strategic digital, technology, and digital transformation questions. WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Consultant, you will be given end-to-end responsibility for any of a broad range of digital “modules” within a BCG project, and begin to develop specialised knowledge to help you solve our clients’ problems. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow BCGers to transform client potential into performance. A broad skillset and passion for digital & technology is important. As part of our digitally-focused consulting team, you would work on a variety of digital topics, applying generalist consulting skills to strategic digital & technology questions. You will be supported by an extensive training curriculum (the same programme as all BCG consultants), plus digital-specific training and mentoring to help you build your skills. YOU’RE GOOD AT Key personal attributes that are required to be successful in the role:

Your Qualifications

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) We’re looking for exceptional talent from consulting or industry to join us. You would typically have:

• 6+ years’ consulting experience in a digital/technology/strategy related role coupled with expertise aligned to IT/Digital strategy and transformation, CIO advisory, operating models, IT delivery, analytics, customer journeys, technology architecture, IoT etc
• held a senior or leadership role in industry, combined with consulting experience
• experience working:

- with a leading consulting firm (focused on technology/digital initiatives) - in a corporate role focused on technology/digital initiatives - in a tech start-up senior or leadership role - in a "consulting-like" industry (e.g. digital strategy, digital marketing)

• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• strategic mindset, presence and gravitas
• minimum of a Bachelors degree with an outstanding academic track record from a leading university
• master’s degree or PHD will be highly regarded
• flexibility for frequent travel interstate or international as required.

YOU’LL WORK WITH Our consultants within DigitalBCG are an integral part of BCG's core consulting team; we work side-by-side with all practice areas to create value & competitive advantage for our clients. YOU’LL BE BASED IN: CITY: Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra or Perth COUNTRY: Australia YOU’LL BE TRAVELLING: Frequently within Australia and New Zealand and as internationally as required.
