Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to provide onsite and remote support to the service delivery teams in Europe, enabling them to resolve complex technical problems related to Multi-Vendor (MV) imaging systems. As the modality expert, he/she acts as a consultant and coach to the global MV team on a broad range of technical, training and supply chain related aspects.

You are responsible for

  • Taking a leadership role in the resolution of technical problems for the respective modality
  • Delivering remote and onsite technical assistance to Field Service Engineers
  • Providing technical consultancy to global MV team members
  • Delivering technical trainings for specific MV systems
  • Ensuring appropriate troubleshooting, service tooling and repair methodology is used
  • Advising on spare parts and replacement procedures
  • Safeguarding speed of resolution for technical escalations
  • Instructing, coaching and mentoring engineers to ensure excellent customer experience
  • Conducting onsite system inspections in the pre/post sales phase of new service agreements
  • Analysing complex problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, developing and executing corrective action plans

You are a part of the European MVS organization and report to the Technical Operations Manager. The position is home-based in either Germany, UK, Italy or France.

In this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Minimum Technical Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience
  • 5+ Years experience servicing GE imaging systems (X-ray, interventional, mammography, bone densitometry)
  • OEM certified service trained
  • Proven excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient at resolving problems remotely
  • Training/coaching experience
  • Willingness to travel across Europe for max. 30% of the time
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with servicing other modalities and OEM’s is a preference
