What You'll Do

The Director of Product Marketing for Cisco Intent-Based Networking (IBN) portfolio is responsible for driving an architectural and solution-driven product marketing practice focused on the Cisco IBN portfolio. This include our Access and WAN solutions (SD-Access, SD-WAN), our DNA software solutions for automation, security, and analytics, Location Analytics solutions with DNA Spaces along with all the key product families around access and campus switching, wireless, routing, and WAN product lines – a $18B+ portfolio for Cisco. The leader will focus on developing Cisco’s IBN story, the Go to Market (GTM) strategy and creating the marketing plan to drive global awareness and demand driving high growth in our business.

This role requires a strong passion for leadership, marketing impact and driving change. The Director of Product Marketing will work across marketing, engineering, and sales to excite and attract new and existing customers to prefer and purchase Cisco IBN products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop strategic marketing plans, product, and solution messaging and positioning, leveraging a deep understanding of customers, decision-makers and buying center dynamics.
  • Define and develop compelling messaging, effective value propositions, use cases, and overall content targeting customers, decision-makers, and other audiences such as analysts, press, sellers, and partners. Be the master storyteller that catapults Cisco above the competition and firmly establishes Cisco as the an obvious leader in the industry.
  • Partner and collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Sales leadership teams on high-level enterprise and company messages.
  • Participate in and drive global launches with the extended GTM ecosystem.
  • Drive the demand generation and GTM strategy for Cisco IBN products.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape and go to market strategies in target markets and target audiences.
  • Drive seller enablement and marketing programs content related to new solutions in partnership with sales enablement teams.
  • Coordinate with the integrated marketing Campaign team efforts and jointly across the marketing teams in corporate and in the regions. Campaign responsibilities include but are not limited to identification of solution(s) to be promoted, market segmentation, and messaging for differentiation.

Complexity & Impact

  • This role will drive the product marketing strategy and GTM for Cisco’s product and services portfolio in the Cisco IBN business.
  • In addition, the role will deliver the GTM messaging through direct and extended teams in the regions/geos. The global delivery will need close collaboration with the regional / geo leadership teams.
  • This is a fast-paced environment supporting a networking org that ranks one of the tops in the world.

Background

  • Strong knowledge of and experience in leading product marketing in the Networking and Security industry.
  • Prior roles in a fast paced environment leading product marketing teams.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Technical background preferred.
