• Enjoys a challenge of correctly accounting for every cent in a global, multi-currency eCommerce business
• Has demonstrated a superior attention to detail and wouldn't blame an outstanding delta on currency conversion or a rounding error without data to prove it
• Has the ability to explain the impact of their work on business
• Is ready to shift their career towards tech - this is a role on an engineering team, so the successful candidate will be heavily exposed to (and will be expected to learn, with our help) SQL, Power BI, SSRS etc.
  

What you'll be doing:

• Reconciliation of accounts receivables and payables to cash and to marketplace
• Assist in month-end close processes, reconciliation of outstanding obligations & other balance sheet accounts to database line level data
• Spotting opportunities for automation / self-service solutions (reporting, tooling) & collaborating with engineering teams on the design and implementation of those solutions
• Develop relationship and knowledge of different Payment Services Providers
• Providing and validating line level data for tax and audit purposes, reconciling that data to accounting systems
• Support Engineering, Finance, Product teams in ad-hoc financial reporting

Your skills & experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a finance / accounting / analyst role
• Advanced Excel (or similar) knowledge
• Experience analyzing & reconciling high volume, multi-currency transactions
• At least basic understanding of accounting (double entry book-keeping, accounts receivable, payable)
