Specialty: Adult Heart Transplant, LVAD, Advanced Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm

What You Will Do

As a Patient Access Representative with Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to communicate with patients, participants and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures. Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration. You will work in a fast-paced clinic with high acuity patient population. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented with front office/scheduling experience preferred. We are a certified transplant program. We work with a unique subset of patients. Our team is multidisciplinary: RNs, MDs, APN's, Social workers, dietitian, financial coordinator call caring for the patients together.

Responsibilities:

• Gathers necessary demographic, insurance and clinical information from patient and enters into appropriate database. Seeks appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date or location of prescribed procedures.
• Schedules patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources. Coordinates and communicates schedules.
• Assists with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provides counseling to patient, participant or their representative regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.

What You Will Need

Education:

• Diploma
  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

• 1 year minimum medical office experience preferred.
• None required
