The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for recent graduates to join us as Graduate Consultants in Madrid or Barcelona, Spain. In this role, you will promote the adoption of Red Hat's solutions in our key enterprise accounts, government agencies, and other key customers throughout the country. Through in-person and remote interactions, you'll earn the trust and confidence of customers' Engineering, Development, and Operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of Red Hat’s solutions. The Red Hat Graduate Program will offer you extensive technical and professional training during the first 18 months of your career with Red Hat. You will collaborate with experienced consultants and architects across Spain and you’ll also contribute to community projects and events. At the beginning of the program, you will be assigned a mentor to support you alongside your manager. You’ll receive regular development reviews designed to ensure that you gain the necessary training and experience to successfully transition into a more senior role upon completion of the Graduate Program. As a Graduate Consultant, your training will start with a series of on-boarding courses covering our business and your place in it, as well as the skills needed for your new role to take the first steps in your Red Hat career. You’ll have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions early on, as we’ll welcome your collaboration and input from day one.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Constantly learn about Red Hat’s new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
  • Integrate technical knowledge and business understanding to create solutions for business problems of our customers
  • Proactively and reactively look for solutions that will benefit customers and create new opportunities for Red Hat
  • Assist with technical and non-technical project-related activities
  • Work closely with colleagues in a collaborative team environment, providing and sharing information at all opportunities
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with your colleagues and our customers
  • Use your critical thinking skills to tackle tough problems in an innovative way
  • Serve as a trusted adviser at the client site and assist the project or technical managers in setting and delivering on expectations
  • Bring innovative ideas and enthusiasm to the project team while identifying new business opportunities
  • Maintain an understanding of industry practices and through project experience and training
  • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related technical field of study
  • Passion for emerging technology and desire to build a career in the IT industry
  • Fluent language skills in Spanish and English
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills to convey information to internal and external clients
  • Demonstrate ability to find the correct resources and collect required information
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and positive attitude; ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the working week
  • Familiarity with Linux, middleware, and container technologies is a plus
  • Interest in Red Hat’s technologies is a plus
