Job summary

The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Consultant to join us in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you will be responsible for the on-site delivery and implementation of our solutions and offerings for the Professional Services team. You will gain an understanding of customer cloud needs with a particular focus on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Ceph Storage, Red Hat Gluster Storage, and Red Hat Openshift Container Platform, making recommendations appropriate to their environments that create possibilities and resolve issues.

Primary job responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
• Bring innovative ideas and enthusiasm to the project team while identifying new business opportunities
• Constantly learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
• Design complex solutions in areas like system management, cluster and storage, or virtualization
• Keep stakeholders updated on actual or potential issues that may affect project or company performance
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, and software specification, as well as the design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions

Required skills

• Experience with enterprise-wide deployments
• Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and storage solutions
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Ceph Storage, Red Hat Gluster Storage, and Red Hat Openshift Container Platform
• Deep understanding of Linux internals including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, bug fix updates, and core builds
• Thorough knowledge of system management, clustering and storage management, virtualization, and directory server
• Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse audiences
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer management skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• Fluent language skills in both Spanish and English
