Your Opportunity
Charles Schwab's Marketing Planning & Operations group manages and drives the strategy, planning, and operations for the marketing organization. In this role, you will have an opportunity to help shape the strategy and operating plan enabling the marketing organization to deliver solutions, experiences, and communications for our clients and to further strengthen the Schwab brand. This Senior Manager role is charged with helping to define and package marketing strategy and plans in a compelling way, and delivering thoughtful, insightful, high impact contributions across a range of highly-visibile strategic and operational projects. Working in a team setting, the Senior Manager establishes relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization, gathering insights and serving as an advocate for strategic marketing plans and priorities.
What you’re good at
- Defining impactful strategies and plans – both near-term & long-term - that will accelerate growth for the business
- Developing and packaging relevant business stories to effectively communicate business strategies and recommendations to audiences of all levels
- Synthesizing large quantities of data and information to generate insights through both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Achieving high-performance in ambiguous, dynamic environments – operating with a sense of urgency, applying a mix of creativity and resourcefulness to problem-solving
- Facilitating and effectively working with cross functional teams – managing multiple and potentially conflicting priorities; quickly driving consensus and/or alignment on decisions
- Motivating people without direct channels of authority
- Building and cultivating strong relationships with cross functional teams at all levels of the organization.
What you have
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in strategy, planning, and/or executive communications
- Bachelor’s degree required. MBA a plus.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to executive audiences
- Incredible attention to detail with excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
- Self-starter approach, proactive, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
- Challenger spirit, questioning status quo and continuously looking for opportunities to drive greater scale, efficiencies, and effectiveness on behalf of the firm.
- Team player highly adept at fostering strong working relationships at all levels within the organization to deliver on shared goals
- Expert user of PowerPoint and Excel
- Personally and professionally aligned with Schwab’s vision and values, and a strong interest in marketing and/or financial services.
