That’s where Retail Participant Marketing steps in to make this connection between earning, saving and investing toward a financially secure future.

The Sr. Marketing Manager - Retail Participant Engagement is part of the Retail Acquisition and Corporate Marketing organization, which is charged with growing Schwab’s share of affluent investors by promoting broader adoption of Schwab products and services. The ultimate goal of the team is to drive consideration for, conversion of, and ultimately an ongoing relationship with, Schwab Retail. This is done through traditional and non-traditional channels, centrally and locally across the many markets we serve.

In this role, the Sr. Marketing Manager - Retail Participant Engagement will work closely with Retail Participant Experience (RPE) and our workplace solutions teams to oversee marketing projects that reach participants across our three workplace platforms: Schwab Retirement Plan Services, Compliance Solutions and Schwab Stock Plan Services.

What you’re good at

The Sr. Marketing Manager - Retail Participant Engagement will help reach these goals by:

• Establishing a deep understanding of Schwab’s core Retail offer and how it translates and comes to life in participant-facing marketing.

• Knowledge of the core workplace solutions experiences we provide to help identify entry points for Retail.

• Partner with RPE and our workplace solutions businesses to reach employees within these core experiences and build B:B:C and B:C marketing programs to engage and drive action.

• Work collaboratively with RPE and other business and marketing partners to build and deliver programs that support acquisition and growth through content, communications and sales enablement.

• Help set marketing engagement metrics and track progress on a monthly basis

• Marketing budget oversight

What you have

  • A minimum of 10-15 years general marketing experience (financial services and/or equity comp/defined comp a plus) and must possess the following capabilities:
  • Experience using content to support defined consumer journeys
  • Fluent in online/offline content (video, infographics, education, etc.)
  • Marketing communication campaign construction and oversight
  • Familiarity with B:B/B:B:C/B:C marketing ecosystems and sales enablement
  • Proven track record of building marketing programs to scale
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization, weigh multiple points of view and develop a deep understanding of primary stakeholders’ needs
  • Capable, organized project manager
  • Detail oriented, works well under tight timelines and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving skills and good judgement, including the ability to synthesize data and develop recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Optimistic, enthusiastic, collaborative and nimble, with a bias toward action.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
