• Cloud Application Services (CAS) is made up of several teams which align toward the function of providing cloud shared services to the BIOs. Cloud Application Services mission is to effectively execute the journey to the cloud and provide services and platforms that accelerate digital transformation
• CAS plays a pivotal role in Modernizing our IT Infrastructure and Accelerating Development by implementing and managing a set of shared technical services, platforms, and development tools. The Bluemix and Azure PaaS platforms along with DevOps and SDLC tools will enable application delivery teams to automate and reduce their solution delivery times. The cloud shared technical services will be leveraged across development efforts to speed delivery and save costs.
• CAS engages with IT application delivery teams to provide solution consulting, application architecture, design and delivery services needed for cloud-based development. These design and delivery services will leverage our shared technical services, platforms and tools and utilize modern development practices like using microservices and DevOps. These services will also support Strengthening Our Reliability and Security and Empowering Our People.

Intern Project

We have development projects that span a wide spectrum of technologies: Cloud Platform Development (Azure, IBM Cloud), Microservice Service Development, DevOps and continuous integration, AI, Data Science and Machine Learning, Big Data and Data Pipelines, Application Development, Integration Development and API Management and Development (APIGEE).

We are looking for an intern with strong foundational technical skillset and familiarity with at least some of the following; Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, ML Algorithms, Database Design and Advanced SQL. An ability and aptitude to write structure elegant code fluently is desired.

Essential Functions:
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.

- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university within the last year.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
