Primary Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Professional Indemnity / Financial Lines and Liability Claim Professional to join our Claim Team in Dublin on a permanent basis. As a Claims Professional you will provide expert claim handling including investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of assigned claims. You will support the Claims Management team by providing quality claims handling and superior customer service, ensuring that the Claims function runs effectively and that service standards are maintained.

- Investigate, analyse and apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims.
- Negotiate and settle claims proactively in accordance with Company guidelines and best practices.
- Reserve claims accurately in accordance with Company guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure that Company service standards are upheld.
- Maintain data accuracy.
- Instruct, liaise with and manage external vendors and monitor the quality and cost of their services, ensuring required technical and service standards are met.
- Authorise claim payments and reserves within agreed claims handling authority.
- Provide technical advice.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships both externally and internally.
- Work as a team member providing such support as required by other members of the team and fully participates in individual and shared project work.
- Assist Senior Claim Professionals and others with larger and more complex claims, where required.
- Openly communicate knowledge of actions with manager and colleagues in order to better understand the impact on other technical, operational, sales and financial disciplines
- Proactively participate in training and other learning and development activities to maintain and enhance technical knowledge and other skills.

You will have;
Strong experience in the Professional Indemnity and Liability claim handling environment and be able to demonstrate capability of handling claims competently in line with required technical standards, best practices and service level standards. You will have good communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships.
Must have minimum of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) qualification.
Minimum QualificationsWorking towards Accredited Product Advisor (APA) qualification. Some prior insurance related activity experience (e.g. paralegal, insurance operations, insurance broker).
