FPGA Hardware/Software Engineer, Trading Team

Job Description

Jump Trading is a technology driven company, pushing on ultra-low-latency real-time systems at large scale globally. One of our quantitative trading teams is looking to add a dynamic Hardware/Software Engineer to its growing hardware effort. The individual in this role will collaborate extensively with traders and technologists to evolve, improve, and maintain all elements of the team infrastructure, including execution, signal generation, model building and back testing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving difficult technical problems and building reliable, scalable, high performance FPGA hardware systems.

Skills you'll need:

• Passion for development, strong work ethic, and drive to continually learn and improve
• Hands-on FPGA development successes, taking ownership of significant systems and subsystems
• Hands-on experience in developing testbenches using modern verification methodologies (UVM, Cocotb, etc)
• Intermediate to advanced RTL skills (SystemVerilog/Verilog)
• Intermediate to advanced Python skills
• Intermediate to advanced C/C++ skills

Bonus points:

• Scripting Language proficiency (Shell scripting, Tcl, etc)
• Hardware floating point arithmetic
• Experience of Automated testing, Jenkins CI, Github
• High Speed Networking / Serial Protocols / Transceivers / PCIe
