Job summary

The Red Hat Single Sign On Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Senior Java Automation Engineer who is interested in application security and security protocols to join us in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of quality for Red Hat single sign-on, a solution that provides a universal and easy way to secure applications. You'll gain a deep understanding of various aspects of complex technologies from JEE. As a Senior Java Automation Engineer, you will work together with developers on new features of our offerings. You'll need to have excellent technical and creative thinking skills, as you'll be encouraged to develop innovative solutions to technical issues on a daily basis.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Closely cooperate with developers on developing new features of our offerings and participate in sprint planning
  • Contribute to the Keycloak upstream project hosted on GitHub
  • Develop new test applications for Red Hat Middleware solutions for system and integration testing
  • Analyze and prioritize the Red Hat Middleware quality risks and determine the tests required to mitigate them
  • Develop new frameworks and tools for test automation and execution
  • Document new bugs and advocate their resolution with developers
  • Communicate the impact of bugs to customers with developers and support
  • Serve as an internal advocate for our customers
  • Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies
  • Perform integration and automated testing
  • Develop new frameworks and tools

Required skills

  • 5+ year of experience with Java and JEE
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Knowledge of the Apache Maven and version control systems like Git
  • Communication skills in English and ability to read technical documentation

The following are considered a plus:

  • Security experience
  • Experience with LDAP, Kerberos, or SSO servers
  • Experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect, or SAML protocols
  • Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD)
  • Working knowledge of UNIX-like operating systems
