Role Summary:

As a Stress Analysis Engineer you will solve challenging problems using finite element analysis ( FEA ). You will work with senior level analysis engineers to develop and execute analysis objectives and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. You will demonstrate leadership in communicating goals, technical progress and processes for your work.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior level analysis engineers to formulate and implement finite element stress analysis (FEA) plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and program commitments
  • Execute the analysis of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Create finite element models (FEM) as needed using a variety of tools (Hypermesh, ANSYS, UG, etc.)
  • Communicate project status, technical issues and significant developments
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience in rotating parts, structures, and/or airfoils stress analysis
  • Ability to guide and influence others
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with cross-functional experience
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment
