Job Description

Mission

The Real Estate & Workplace Manager will lead Databricks’ EMEA real estate portfolio, with full responsibilities for the end to end real estate life cycle. You will help develop strategies and execute tactical solutions in support of our companies exponential growth across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a regional support team and identify key 3 rd party relationships that will be the backbone of our growth. As the main point of contact for EMEA leadership they will be key in identifying growth locations and putting in place plans to support it. Our EMEA region has nearly 200 staff in 4 offices with plans to double that in the next 12 months. Regular travel will be required.

Outcomes

• Develop strong relationships with EMEA leadership, finance and HR to regularly gather headcount growth projections and prepare reports to Global REW Director ensuring regional strategy is in sync.
• Drive all facilities and workplace operations to deliver an exceptional environment which manifests and deepens company culture in our workplaces
• Manage and support all RE&W team members in EMEA performing regular assessments and goal setting to deliver success
• Ensure all contracts and documentation relating to our Real Estate portfolio are compliant and that all obligations under those agreements are met.
• Deliver all fit-out projects from inception to go live – engaging architects, project managers and contractors as required including the development of scopes and ensure alignment with corporate workplace standards

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend leases across international markets
• Experience in office project delivery including end to end tenant improvement projects
• Proven Facilities management experience with responsibility for operations and service delivery
• Broad experience conducting RFP’s for a wide range of goods and services
• Track record of leading lease negotiations in multiple international markets
• Experience hiring and developing a team as well as ongoing management of direct reports
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or related fields preferred but not required
