Front End Engineer - JavaScript/React

Rubicon Project is hiring a talented Mid-Level software engineer with strong Core Javascript development experience. What you will be doing :

• Building complex web applications using the latest tooling and JavaScript frameworks, including React
• Contributing actively to the open source community
• Working with a small team of enthusiastic engineers distributed around the world
• Writing well-tested, documented, performant, and functional JavaScript
• Supporting those around you, while receiving the same from other engineers on your team

What we look for :

• 4-6 years of strong core JavaScript experience
• Experience with React or another modern web framework
• Experience shipping complex, performant, well-tested, and well-documented UI’s
• An effective communicator with experience writing code in a team setting using source control software like Git/Github
• Someone excited to learn from and teach other engineers

Bonus Points :

• You have worked with distributed/remote teams
• You are familiar with deploying web apps on AWS (S3, Cloudfront) via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Travis, etc.)
• You have experience with typed JavaScript (Flow/TypeScript)
• You have experience with JavaScript testing frameworks (Jest/Enzyme, Mocha/Chai, etc.)
• You have experience with contemporary JavaScript web/build tools (NPM/Yarn, Babel, Webpack/Rollup, etc.)
• You have a strong understanding of HTML and CSS
• You have worked with project management software like JIRA, Asana, or Trello
