Overview: The Channel Strategy & Programs Senior Advisor works closely with our strategy, sales, and business unit teams to identify opportunities for expansion and development of the channel ecosystem to fill value and/or coverage gaps that represent high growth opportunities for Zebra. This role will be responsible for all aspects of the overall channel expansion and development strategy including working with key subject matter experts to validate the total market opportunity, defining the characteristics of the ideal partner profile, identifying a target list of existing and/or target partners in which to recruit into this segment, defining the participation criteria, development of the overall value proposition, and tracking and reporting on the progress of onboarding partners into this new expansion opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with Strategy, Portfolio, Vertical, Business Units, and Sales teams to create a channel ecosystem strategy both near and long term based on market requirements
  • Responsible for alignment of development strategies with long term PartnerConnect program strategy
  • Responsible for cross-team program alignment and priority management
  • Partners closely with the Global Pricing & Channel Incentives Team to ensure Zebra has a competitive partner margin proposition for new channel segments
  • Owns development of the business requirements to provide guidance to operations teams needed to operationally support new partner segments
  • Serves as global business lead in executive meetings on ecosystem expansion priorities and workstreams
  • Leads the development of an approach to enable new partner program participation and contracts; Coordinates implementation through the regions
  • Defines overall metrics for channel development program components, sets measurement cadence, and provides recommendations for enhancements, improvements, or changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline
  • 12+ years in channel management/development/strategy with complex channel ecosystems
  • Proven understanding of channel and sales processes, systems, tools
  • 8+ years’ experience of designing and developing channel marketing & operational programs
  • Strong strategist, with a good sense for practicalities and how to operationalize
  • Proven strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Demonstrates high degree of initiative and complex problem-solving skills
  • Strong matrix management skills, team leadership skills, and ability to facilitate change and engage others in execution of strategic goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications
  • Comfortable working with field resources, C-Suite, and external business owners
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to handle negotiations effectively
