Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Telco Key Account Manager to join us in Madrid, Spain or Lisbon, Portugal. In this role, you will work as part of our global telco vertical to build new commercial relationships and expand existing business at a number of high-profile telco accounts in the region. You'll manage high levels of coordination and collaboration with other team members within Red Hat's telco vertical.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Work in close collaboration and shadow the senior key account manager
  • Sell Red Hat's solutions while supporting customer satisfaction and success
  • Develop new lines of business and expand existing business on the accounts with special emphasis on developing new technologies and services
  • Represent Red Hat to the customers in sales-related matters
  • Quote appropriate customer prices
  • Meet assigned sales quotas

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience selling software solutions within an industry vertical, ideally telco; understanding of the opportunities that exist within this market segment
  • Experience with technologies like operating systems, middleware, virtualization, cloud, and system management
  • Understanding of how the telco industry is transforming
  • Understanding of market dynamics, including customer needs, processes, offerings, and competition
  • Excellent communication and technical skills and the ability to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels
  • Record of selling complex solutions to large organizations and multiple decision makers
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking
  • Solid organizational, negotiation, presentation, and time management skills
  • Motivated with the ability to take initiative; ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Reliable, committed, and organized with the ability to handle change easily
  • Attention to detail and solid analytical skills
  • Fluent language skills in English and Spanish
