Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing shop activity for the Battle Creek, MI Service Center. Responsible for supervising Technical Support personnel and for coordinating daily shop operations.
• Responsibilities include shop scheduling, staff supervision, and customer service.
• The Shop Supervisor also provides back-up coverage to the SC Operations Manager during his/her absence.
• Ensure that employees are accurately trained for their assignments and training records are updated.
• Generate and review all employee performance appraisals. Responsible for all EH&S/ACE/Quality activities within the area.
• Administrative duties in support of Service Center Manager

Must be willing to travel and work extended hours, as needed.

FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program – This position is covered under the PWES FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program. The selected candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment FAA drug screen (and negative results received) prior to the candidate being transferred to this new position, unless the candidate is already in the program.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of related experience OR
• Associate’s degree or other 2 year post HS training with 10+ years of related experience
• Must possess FAA Aircraft and Powerplant license
• US Citizenship is required due to government contract

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a successful manager/supervisor. Successful candidate must possess proven leadership, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
• Successful candidate must build a TEAM environment.
• Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management. .
• Strong communication skill with proven leadership using motivation and empowerment to instill cooperation and respect from his/her reports.
• Previous technical experience with P&WC products.
• Proficient in SAP, MS Office and Lotus notes.
• Previous experience as a manager/supervisor in aviation aftermarket support a plus
• Proficient in ACE Tools and philosophy.
