The Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Project Engineering group has opening for Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) junior field engineer. The primary functions of the position are to be an onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our military customers. The MRO Engineering intern will support Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT’s) responsible for Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine, Augmentor and Exhaust Nozzle hardware across Pratt & Whitney’s family of engines at Tinker AFB Oklahoma City. The responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Work as the onsite MRO engineer supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
  • Trend hardware health for limit updates, Component Improvement Program (CIP) and repair tasks activities.
  • Communicate with our Tinker AFB customers to aid with engineering investigations and support.

Experience/Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • You are graduating in Dec 2019 or May 2020
  • You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • You're in an accredited four year degree program and are entering or currently in your last year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess strong communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Combustor, Diffuser, Turbine Augmentor and Exhaust Nozzle hardware is a plus.
