Job Description

As a Workday Reporting Specialist, you will be joining our existing reporting team to support stakeholders understanding business requirements related to our people data within Workday. Your responsibilities will include creating simple reports to developing complex reports and dashboards for a wide array of end users. You'll also take ownership for the administration and improvement of the Workday reporting processes and play a main role within our data governance and quality program. The support you'll provide is critical for decision-making as we aim to improve our internal processes and move the organization towards actionable insights using data and analytics.

Responsibilities :

  • Take ownership of the overall HR reporting function within the HR Technology and Analytics department
  • Developing simple to complex Workday reports and dashboards, including matrix and composite reports and calculated fields, utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer
  • Ability to report on all HR system modules, specifically Workday Compensation, Time and Absence, Benefits, Performance Management, Talent, Payroll and HCM Core
  • Maintaining existing built reports and dashboards to ensure they are still fit for purpose
  • Monitoring and maintaining all scheduled reporting for appropriate users and data access
  • Investigating and resolving report related issues in a timely manner
  • Serving as an escalation point for fixing HR reporting inquires/issues
  • Actively participating in Workday Community by researching best practices and monitoring new and updated reporting and analytics functionality
  • Reviewing system upgrades/releases to determine overall business impact, conduct regression testing and make recommendations for future enhancements/functionality
  • Providing ad hoc support as necessary to HR and business leaders
  • Maintain partnerships across HR, FP&A, IT, Accounting, and other business groups to support our overall People strategy of moving towards a culture of data driven decision making
  • Supporting with actionable, effective and impactful reports and dashboards
  • Taking initiative to anticipate business needs and making recommendations
  • Training and promoting self-service reporting functionality with end users
  • Participating in various projects and initiatives while working collaboratively with other team members
  • Be a main stakeholder in our data governance and quality program to enhance data accuracy and strategy across the People function
  • Developing audit reporting and a framework for data quality checks
  • Analyzing data sets and troubleshooting inconsistencies to provide to our data management team for clean-up activities
  • Supporting the proper use, access, storage and transmission of sensitive employee data
  • Assist the People Analytics team with building, maintaining and actioning our strategic reporting roadmap

Additional Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in reporting and information delivery to stakeholders, with 2+ years in Workday report writing and dashboards
  • A strong working knowledge of HR systems, functions, processes and advanced reporting environments
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with advanced spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization; ability to learn new software and technologies as needed
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams and as an individual contributor; ability to manage time effectively and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong technology aptitude and interest in research, data, metrics and analysis
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a fast pace environment that continuously challenges and evolves their thinking.
  • Solution oriented attitude that focuses on continuous improvement; ability to diagnose issues and clearly articulate solutions
  • Full professional proficiency in English
