The Opportunity at Komodo Health

We’re looking for an exceptional, high-potential Head of Business Operations to help us drive key strategic projects, guide and align teams across the business, and supercharge our operational effectiveness. Reporting to our Head of Operations and working closely with leaders across the business, you will lead a multidisciplinary Business Operations and Business Insights team working with leaders in all of our functions (Marketing, Customer, Product, Engineering, People, Finance, Operations, Legal) to deliver operational visibility and results.

We have offices in both San Francisco and New York City, and we are looking for candidates in both locations. Your manager is located in San Francisco.

• Lead a team of highly-analytical business generalists working across the business to accelerate our highest-priority, cross-cutting strategic initiatives
• Proactively define, prioritize, and execute the highest-leverage opportunities to accelerate growth, sharpen execution, and mitigate risks
• Address critical business needs by quickly framing the most pressing issues, partnering with leaders/teams to understand the context, and implementing a path forward
• Act as a trusted business adviser to leaders/teams across the business and help define and achieve business-critical goals
• Partner with our Founders and Finance team to communicate and contextualize our operational data/results to our Board and external investors
• Build our Business Insights capabilities to provide the quantitative foundation for our Business Operations team and functional leaders to make data-driven decisions
• Build a team of data analysis and interpretation experts to connect, analyze, and interpret our internal operating data and results
• Drive company-wide visibility and accountability for our metrics and results
• Proactively surface key insights into our operations to steer critical business decisions and drive attention and investment to the highest-priority areas

What You Bring to Komodo

• 8+ years in strategy/operations, with prior experience working across a broad range of business units and/or functions, either in-house or advisory; B2B/SaaS experience a plus, and genuine interest in health tech and startups a must
• 4+ years as a people manager and demonstrated high-trajectory career path
• Experienced with leveraging data to drive decisions and narratives, ideally comfortable wrangling and visualizing data hands-on
• A natural leader and exceptional communicator in all settings (writing, presenting, 1/1s), able to coordinate, influence, and drive results at all levels of the company, including the executive level
• Service-oriented and not above rolling up your sleeves to solve any problem across the company
• Highly-driven, accountable, improvement-oriented, and impact-minded
