The team
Our Marketing team creates world-class content and data-driven marketing solutions that communicates the value of DocuSign’s Agreement Cloud to reach more customers and help them understand the potential impact DocuSign can have on their business. We design creative for a new business campaign. Refine messaging around new product launches. Organize captivating customer events. Develop innovative social media campaigns. Collaborate on playbooks and training with the Sales team. Marketing is the face and voice of DocuSign and plays a key, high-impact role in how we tell our story.

This position
The SMB Marketing Director will be an expert in the small business segment, developing and sharing insights that provide a foundation of DocuSign’s marketing to this segment. You’ll define messaging and positioning to small businesses and collaborate closely across the marketing, sales and product organizations. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking and planning with executional excellence and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to drive key initiatives.

This position is reporting to the Senior Vice President of Digital, Demand & Web Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and share a deep understanding of SMB market trends, insights, and competitive landscape through first andthird-party research
  • Define messaging and positioning that promotes DocuSign’s differentiated value to very small (VSB) and small business (SMB) prospects and customers
  • Develop competitive positioning and sales enablement resources that help our sellers bring the DocuSign Agreement Cloud story to life for the SMB segment
  • Partner with product to define the DocuSign Agreement Cloud opportunity for small businesses, providing input on the product roadmap based on customer insights, competitive landscape, and market intelligence
  • Lead market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, and represent the voice of the Small Business customer internally with product management, UX, engineering, sales (direct & web), and partner marketing
  • Evangelize our products and solutions with SMB customers, partners, analysts, and media; and lead SMB advisory and user groups in collaboration with executives and product leaders
  • Drive product adoption and usage rates by testing and launching products & features
  • Define, track and analyze metrics associated with Small Business subscriber growth and success with the DocuSign platform
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with business partners in sales, demand generation, sales enablement, product marketing, business development, and product management to achieve the vision and growth targets

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 12 years of marketing experience focused on the SMB segment, preferably with high-growth, technology SaaS companies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience and strength in collaborating across marketing, sales and product organizations
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort communicating with senior leadership
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
