Job Description
PURPOSE OF ROLE
The primary purpose of this role is to address basic or semi-complex IAM problems as needed. This includes responsibility for creating and/or adhering to new processes and procedures as identified by the Information Security Group leadership team to ensure continuous improvements in information security.
RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS
- Performs routine first level of incident analysis on security alerts
- Analyzes basic threats, investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Performs risk assessments and executes tests of data processing system to ensure functionality
- Contributes to improve the Security Operations/Security Compliance/Security Engineering/Access Management
- Suggests improvements to security tools, rules, policies and programs based on investigated cases
- Confers with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes to be able to prevent and detect any security issues that may arise
- Reviews local violations of computer security procedures and educates violators to ensure infractions are not repeated
- Coordinates implementation of cyber security enhancements with establishment personnel and outside vendors
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
- 1+ years of strong technical and analytical experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Knowledge and understanding of policy creation and dissemination
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
- 1+ years of retail industry experience in the Information Technology Industry
- Experience in Active Directory
- 1+ years of comprehensive experience in Mainframe
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
