Role Overview
This position is for a Materials Planning and SIOP professional who participates in the supply and demand planning process, and responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems and improve effectiveness of work area. May work with internal team to develop financial forecasts.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide timely and accurate Spares forecasting OTD and sales data.
Liaise with our third party vendor to schedule any special packaging requirements to support customer delivery and tracking
Facilitate and expedited materials from our receipt to customer delivery.
Developing and maintaining QCPC logs to drive process improvements for material flow and material planning parameter settings.
Establish standard work, develop processes and methods to collect, monitor, and report critical KPI for the area.
Will work closely with Master Production Schedulers and Production Control as needed to negotiate priorities to support aggregate customer demand.
Ensure accurate inventory control transactions are performed and managed.
This may include creating inventory transfers between OE vs AMS or other sister sites as necessary.
Generating and maintaining work orders for kitting and other miscellaneous assemblies unique to AMS production support.
Participate and lead our inventory optimization initiatives to improve customer service levels.
Will also work with the Field Service and Repair team to help perform all necessary transactions to induct, repair, upgrade customer return assets.
This individual will also support forecasting and optimizing inventory levels to improve repair turnaround times. This will also require analyzing equipment capacity and working with production counterparts to efficiently schedule equipment usage as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
