Job Description

  • Drive AOP and LTP goals through innovative Marketing and Sales go-to-market strategies that span the four P’s, partnering closely with operations, finance, pricing, business development, legal, forecasting, and marketing / sales disciplines.
  • Lead marketing strategy development including Roadmap and Integrated Communications Plan development for Adventures by Disney
  • Lead cross-discipline and cross functional teams to develop and implement integrated M&S plans, partnering from input to completion with focus on driving critical KPIs through efficiency and innovation
  • Partner with finance, operations, etc,.. on business drivers and identify mitigation strategies and plans when needed
  • Work with CIMA team to deeply understand audiences, motivators, barriers, and demand to identify best opportunities to expand the business, identify opportunities to grow revenue and operating income, and closely monitor/measure business performance of key programs.
  • Partner with Operations and Development teams to identify and drive development of new products and programs to accelerate growth over the long term plan
  • Actively lead, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Anticipate and respond quickly to changing business and consumer needs.
  • Regularly share updates with senior leadership to ensure all programs and plans have buy-off by key leaders
  • Minimum 7+ years relevant marketing, sales, or business development experience, ideally in entertainment / travel and leisure industries
  • Outstanding research and problem solving skills
  • Advanced quantitative analysis skills with ability to translate into actionable insights and recommendation
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to analyze/draw marketing implications from research and other data sources
  • Self starter, possesses entrepreneurial drive
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills – will be expected to present to SVP level and will work most frequently with Senior Managers and Directors
  • Superior project management skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Keynote
  • Previous experience in consumer marketing or brand management strongly preferred
  • Passion for the entertainment and travel industries
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring direct reports
  • Experience conducting due diligence and developing business plans
  • Ability to travel (limited)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent
  • MBA from a top tier school
The Disney Signature Experiences Marketing Strategy Team is charged with maximizing revenue and operating income for Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Aulani Resort and Spa, and Adventures by Disney (AbD). This role will focus on marketing strategy for Adventures by Disney across all platforms, products and audiences.
The Marketing Strategy area is focused on driving consumer demand, and revenue for the Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) businesses. The team achieves this goal by identifying strategies and partnering with cross-discipline teams in marketing, sales, public relations, operations, revenue management, finance, legal, business development and other functional areas to develop programs and communication plans that drive KPIs and overall business results. The team also oversees the management of the plans to ensure each program or campaign is maximized across a wide range of marketing and sales tactics.
The Sr Manager, Marketing Strategy will focus on Adventures by Disney and will lead marketing strategy programs that involve ABD and additional DSE businesses, when relevant. Leveraging leadership and critical thinking skills, the Cast Member will develop business programs and communication plans rooted in consumer insights, exhibit strong strategic judgment and partnership skills, and drive go-to-market innovation in assigned programs.
Ideal candidates have a strong acumen for storytelling, analysis, and creative thinking. Experience working with strategic frameworks, consumer research, creative teams, and data are critical for success. Additionally, excellent leadership, relationship and problem solving skills in fast-paced environments will be critical in this role.
This position will report to the Director, Marketing and Sales Strategy – Adventures by Disney & Aulani, and will be based in Glendale, CA.
Required Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent

Preferred Education :
  • Minimum 7+ years relevant marketing, sales, or business development experience, ideally in entertainment / travel and leisure industries
