This position is for an Experienced New Product Introduction professional who will coordinate new program sourcing activities to ensure development of a sustainable supply chain aligned with overall commodity strategies. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating inputs with integrated product teams and developing execution plans that align with desired program outcomes for schedule and cost.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Represents supply chain as member of Integrated Product Team
  • Engages with members of R&D, engineering, and program management to ensure accurate and timely materials management activity including drawing release, material master creation, bill of material (BOM) load, demand creation, and plan for every part (PFEP).
  • Aligns program-specific procurement priorities with tactical procurement manager
  • Coordinates non-product needs such as tooling and testing with the appropriate non-product procurement manager.
  • Develops and maintains standard metrics that clearly communicate the health of the sourcing process and highlight gaps to be closed
  • Drives action plan accountability across functions to ensure tactical procurement team is positioned for success.
  • Escalates potential critical path barriers for resolution as required
  • Creates and maintains supply chain PDPR materials in support of regular reviews
  • Tracks shipped unit cost progress against program plan and drives cost reduction activities with engineering.
  • Maintains material availability tools to identify potential gaps and drive closure to support customer needs.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

Basic Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Supply Chain processes; may include materials, procurement, sourcing, supplier performance
  • Understanding of contract structure, business terms and conditions.
  • Works well in a team environment, highly motivated.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong people / interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Work independently, remain calm under pressure and deal with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Leadership experience
  • SAP proficiency
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of Project Management
