What You’ll Do:

The Family Practice/Internal Medicine Physician will be working alongside dermatologists, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to provide direct patient care via telemedicine. Supervisory duties (chart reviews) for NP/ PA work may be part of duties after the physician has become adept at patient care. Once training is complete, there is a flexible schedule with some in-office requirements at our beautiful Sorrento Valley office.

  • Complete initial consultations and respond to patient messages within our timeframe guidelines independently
    • Assess and diagnose patients via telephone consultation, video consultation or store and forward
    • Develop treatment plans using protocols
    • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatments according to approved formulary
    • Evaluate patient progress and response to treatment
  • Transmit prescription orders to pharmacies when indicated
  • Work in collaboration with staff dermatologists and colleagues
  • Treat patients with care quality up to the standards of the practice
  • Perform the above duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities, as needed

Who You Are:

  • A Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certified.
  • Strong sense of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of protected patient health information.
  • Must exhibit a sense of urgency and initiative while maintaining attention to detail in quality-checking preparations, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have ability to keep organized, meticulous records, in accordance with Curology’s best practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks from multiple sources.

Preferred:

  • Georgia license in good standing is a plus, but not a prerequisite
