GDIT, is currently looking for a Windows Administrator to join our mission critical team located at in Tracy, CA. GDIT provides DLA Information Operations and DLA Transaction Services with system administration support for selected Mid-Tier systems and administers the Microsoft Windows Operating System (OS). Support services include: systems administration; data center operations; sustainment, server performance monitoring; information technology analysis; asset management and inventory support; BMC Remedy queue management; system security and vulnerability management and patch management.

Duties Include:

• Diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents.
• Planning and analysis of work processes, researching and reporting trends and patterns of problems.
• Developing training materials and performing computing/information system training sessions.
• Developing and maintaining problem tracking databases.
• Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software.
• Performing backup and recovery operations.
• Consulting with users to identify needs and requirements.
• Conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses.
• Preparing business cases.
• Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.
• May be required to support DLA’s eProcurement system, a segment of its SAP-based enterprise resource planning system.

Education

BA/BS preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Experience: 6 years of progressive IT experience; three (3) of which are specialized in Information Processing and involve a range of hardware/software solutions within a Microsoft Windows environment. Two (2) of which are concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems and training customers in the use of software and hardware. Must include installing, imaging, deploying and managing Windows 2012 and/or 2016 Servers.

Clearance: Active Top Secret or Active Secret with SSBI investigation.

Certifications:

• One of the following: MCSA 2003, MCSE 2003, M2003 NET 4, M2008 NET 7, MCITP SA, MCITP EA, CSA:WS2012, MCSE:WS2012, MCSA:WS2008, MCSM:DS, M2012 NET, MCM: Windows Server 2008: Directory, MCA: MS Windows Server Directory, CCAA, GCWN M AND
• One of the following IAT-II certifications or higher: CCNA Security, CySA (formerly CSA+), Security+CE, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
