Job Description

The Business Analyst in the Corporate IT team serves as a primary interface to the business users, with the guidance from a business relationship manager to assist the Business Relationship Management (BRM) teams in understanding the business processes, workflows, and information requirements of the users. The Business Analyst will liaise with stakeholders from various business units, including Security, IT, Legal, Human Resources, Telecom & Finance, in support of current and future applications. This role will be expected to perform requirements analysis and create functional design processes, ensure testing services for enhancements and projects are completed successfully.

Strong knowledge of ITIL (V4), Configuration Management process & CMDB, IT Asset Management process (ITAM), Agile methodologies, and ServiceNow are required. Knowledge of Information Security practices a plus. The role requires a highly customer service focused individual with good command of teamwork and soft skills.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Collect, review, analyze, manage, business requirements from customers & stakeholders.
  • Work with the business & technical teams to clarify functional & technical requirements.
  • Document detailed proposals, functional & data business requirements, process flows, use cases, information needs, test scenarios, and obtain functional design specification approvals.
  • Manage the UAT process by performing test case validation, reviewing results with development and automation teams, coordinating business testing, and obtaining business approvals on UAT for scheduled deployments.
  • Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, coordination, development and deployment of multi-team enhancements or projects
  • Ensures delivery of project and enhancement requirements meet the requirements defined by the business customer
  • Accountable for ensuring training needs are met for new or existing applications

1. Analyze/understand business challenges, requests and project goals; map current business processes to the new system or service, determine interface requirements, and resolve any issues which may affect the business process.

2. Develop detailed functional & technical requirements including testing scenarios that can be used to develop internal design specifications for systems and/or services.

3. Work with the technical analysts to ensure that the delivered system matches the functionality specified; Ensure business satisfaction with IT services and products; understand and communicate user expectations.

4. Help train users in the functionality developed.

5. Assist the users in developing their user or business procedures.

Day to Day activities:

  • The primary application supported or used will be Service Now.
  • The BA will be responsible for managing enhancement requests, gathering requirements, working with the development and automation teams to ensure required functionality is delivered and UAT with business customers.
  • The candidate will need to be able to communicate with all levels of the organization; from other business analysts to senior executives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
  • 3+ years of experience

Skills:

  • Proficient in developing requirements definition, functional specifications, test scenarios/scripts, data models and business procedures.
  • Strong process flow and diagramming skills (Visio application)
  • Ability to facilitate business requirements and design review sessions with customers
  • Creation and delivery of training materials
  • Extremely organized with the ability to create and manage in an Agile environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written, listening and presentation.
  • Ability to work well in a large blended team as well as individually.

Knowledge:

  • Expertise in ServiceNow, including knowledge of its various modules, for analysis and design in existing functionality and future roadmap strategy
  • Experience gathering requirements for a variety of project scopes, complex enhancements, and business requirements is required
  • Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes, and Agile management fundamentals
  • Process flow mapping and interface design
  • Good understanding of entertainment industry and the role that IT plays in the industry.
