GDIT is seeking a Cyber Security Intern to assist with various incident management response. We are in the business of finding and providing IT solutions to our government customers. Our Technology Internship Program is designed for those with an interest in software development, data, cyber, networking, and IT support. Our program is designed to give you a chance to experience life as a General Dynamics IT employee first-hand. Our interns have real responsibilities and work alongside experienced leaders and other smart, motivated people. This program will help you to develop best in class technical skills while working on mission critical work.

Cyber Security Intern Responsibilities

• Partnering with senior cyber analysts to ensure effective escalation procedures are executed
• Monitoring and triaging security alerts and events
• Participation in an incident response tabletop exercise
• Cyber SOP documentation development

The intern will also have an opportunity to complete training courses towards the SEC+ certification

Education

Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a United States-based college or university with an IT related major and cyber security studies

Qualifications

• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of SOC infrastructure and its role within the organization
• Effective oral and written communications
• Ability and willingness to work alongside senior team members and managers to further professional development
