The Missile and Weapon Systems (MWS) division in Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner. You will be a part of a geographically dispersed team that is headquartered in Huntsville, AL. The position can be located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah or in Huntsville, AL.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) Director and SDS LT as the HR Business Partner to the organization
- Lead business executives through HR processes and provide coaching in managing executive employee relation issues
- Support the SDS Director in identifying and developing a top talent pipeline for the organization and leaning forward on how roles and capability needs will evolve
- Proactively address and plan for staffing needs in partnership with Global Talent Solution
- Consult with SDS Director on the establishment of performance goals/priorities aligned to enterprise strategy and partner on the assessment, coaching, and development of leaders against these goals on an ongoing basis
- Strategic planning for the human capital elements of the business strategy, leveraging the HR model for strategy execution
- Drive inclusion within the organization through Business Resource Groups, Diversity & Inclusion councils and diverse hiring strategies
- Serve as the cultural steward within the business—leveraging culture to drive business performance, speed, innovation and stakeholder value
- Support the MWS Program Management focal for the identification and development of program management talent across the division
- Partner with the BDS HR focal for program management initiatives and best practices that support the division and talent development
- Advise and guide the MWS Program Management focal on headcount, talent identification and development opportunity recommendations
- Partner with the MWS HR Director for Strategy & Integration (S&I) support to the division
- Help create and build organizational plans and partners with the HR Director on the development of business strategies, goals and objectives
- Partners with Client Services as required to broker HR services
- Support and prioritize business unit projects in partnership with Client Services (ER Client Services to lead project)
- Develops and prepares business level requirements in conjunction with MWS HRBPs
- Leads and manages day-to-day operations for the HR Director
- Serve as the BDS Utah site HR focal
- Provide integration support to the site leader to build community and develop engagement strategies for the site
- Serve as the point of contact for site-level issues and responses to external agencies, internal stakeholders and the HR professionals providing support through our HR model
- Integrate data for the site to evaluate trends, issues, and opportunities
- Provide strategic initiative support and secure HR resources for the Boeing Guidance & Repair Center (BGRC) in Heath, Ohio. Some travel to Heath, Ohio will be required
- Anticipate risks of misalignment between the function, business and enterprise priorities, and facilitate leaders through associated solutions and decisions
- Provide strategic insight to CoEs and ER/LR regarding business priorities, objectives and challenges and the resulting talent implications (near- and longer-term)
- Secure services from HR to enable the business strategy and accountability to ensure execution
- Collaborate with HR CoEs and ER/LR to develop relevant solutions to risks and opportunities
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role
- Experience partnering with Senior Executives
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous Boeing experience in Human Resources
- Experience driving creative strategy
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
