Description:This Lockheed Martin (LM) position is part of the Surveyor team that is developing Lockheed Martin’s Strategy Analytics Portal. Surveyor is a transformational project to bring together commonly needed data to improve strategic decision making.
This role is envisioned to bridge the gap between end user needs and the art of the possible in data analytics. The candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively across multiple organizations to understand requirements, create priorities, and translate them into actionable tasks. The candidate will need to be able to explore potential solutions including data sources, formats, and visualizations that satisfy requirements. We anticipate the candidate working with the development team on a plan to deliver software capabilities as well as working with the data to clean it, validate it, tag it, and prepare it for end user consumption. Upon delivering new capabilities, we anticipate the candidate will help users learn how to get the most out of the tool by offering training and demonstrations, while seeking feedback to drive further improvement.
The candidate will need a combination of data analytics, business acumen, creative thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and basic knowledge of management information systems. The candidate needs to have excellent communication skills given the highly collaborative nature of this position.
Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Previous experience applying data analysis or statistics to business intelligence
• Skilled practitioner in supply chain, business development, strategy, or similar functional field that requires data analytics for business intelligence
• Ability to work through all stages of a data solution lifecycle, e.g., analyze / profile data, create conceptual and data model designs, reporting and analytics
• Ability to understand the math and statistics behind models;
• Ability to interpret, extrapolate, and prescribe data to deliver actionable recommendations using effective visualizations
• Demonstrated experience decomposing complex problems into actionable tasks
• Strong systematic and critical thinking skills.
• Skilled practitioner in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle significant amounts of data with very few errors
• Must have demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Masters in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
