The Data-Driven Communications team (DDC) within the Marketing organization supports multiple business units across Schwab by helping customers make informed decisions based on meaningful information we deliver to them when they need it.

The team’s core objective is to substantively drive business growth and deepen client relationships by transforming how Schwab uses analytics & data. We do this by providing our marketing and business partners with support in their acquisition and client engagement strategies by identifying events, triggers, alerts, attributes, etc., that uncover opportunities for meaningful interactions with all customers.

What you’re good at

The Marketing Manager for B2B Lead Management and Demand Marketing is responsible for effectively developing and executing Lead Management across four Institutional lines of business within Schwab. The primary focus of the role is evolving the Lead Management strategy to continually provide better leads to sales teams and understand the prospect experience in order to leverage marketing activities to move quality leads from suspect to client. You will have a strong blend of consulting/facilitation experience, marketing knowledge and marketing automation/lead management experience.

Essential functions include:

  • Execute the Lead Management strategy across four Institutional business units – Advisor Services, Retirement Plan Services, Independent Branch Services, and Schwab Asset Management. Including providing recommendations and best practices for all stages of the lead lifecycle.
  • Being the subject matter expert and core advocate for best practices around the prospect experience. This includes understanding personas and pain points throughout the buyer journey, improving demand marketing campaigns, optimizing lead scoring, and leveraging data to understand the prospect experience throughout the lead lifecycle.
  • Leading functional expansions which may include launching lead forms and developing new scoring models (e.g. client scoring model).
  • Socializing our vision, work, and results with business partners across the firm, maintaining a strong working relationship with marketing and sales and fostering alignment between these teams.
  • Influence business requirements to determine and develop improved pipeline reporting and KPIs, standardizing across the Institutional business lines.
  • Maintaining lead scoring, routing, and lead lifecycle (Revenue Cycle Modeler) functionality within Marketo.
  • Ensure sales and marketing partners have the tools and training to understand and handle leads effectively and efficiently.

What you have

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a marketing role or organization.
  • Previous experience working with cross-functional partners
  • Experience using a marketing automation system – preferably Marketo.
  • Experience using a customer relationship management system – preferably Salesforce
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility quickly, build relationships and facilitate discussions with cross functional partners, asking probing questions to understand motivations and perspectives, then driving to recommendations and consensus.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, specifically in the context of complex business processes and organizations.
