The Red Hat Alliances team is looking for an SAP Solutions Architect to join us in the Central and Midwest market in Chicago, IL, Minneapolis, MN, Milwaukee, WI, Indianapolis, IN, St. Louis, MO, or Detroit, MI. In this role, you will help customers understand how Red Hat's solutions will give them a competitive advantage and achieve their business objectives. You'll need to have technical expertise, passion for open source, and extensive understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level to identify and create business solutions. You'll also need to have excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

• Apply your business knowledge and practical system configuration expertise in SAP S/4HANA while directly interacting with customers
• Provide solid technical understanding of the offering with the ability to discuss and demonstrate the full platform and how it may be configured to meet customer business needs
• Understand the SAP roadmap for S/4HANA and become a trusted advisor for customers in guiding their S/4HANA adoption
• Lead discovery workshops with customers to understand business requirements and collect relevant information needed to build customer-specific solutions for the finance team
• Manage technical relationships with key joint Red Hat and SAP business partners
• Develop and validate reference architectures for joint Red Hat and SAP partner requirements
• Communicate business stories with effective communication and solid presentation skills; contextualize S/4HANA features

Required skills

• 8+ years of experience working with SAP implementations across various SAP ERP, R/3, S/4HANA, and cross-application business modelling with focus on finance
• 4+ years of experience working as an SAP technical architect
• Experience with S/4HANA, cloud, or mobility
• 3+ years of experience working as a sales engineer or equivalent supporting enterprise accounts
• 3+ years of experience working with virtualization technologies or a VMware Certified
• Professional (VCP) certification
• Knowledge of new features in SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics; user experience using Fiori, S/4HANA conversion and prerequisites, S/4HANA simplification and business impact, and SAP cloud platform
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable giving presentations
• Proficient customer-facing skills up to C-level executives
• Advanced knowledge of Linux technologies, ideally the Red Hat stack
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
