DescriptionThe Field Sales Training Manager (FSTM) is a full time sales training, non-quota bearing role that will onboard and coach new hires, support commercial learning and conduct customized regional sales trainings with local sales teams. The goal of the FSTM is to accelerate integration and development of new hires and increase sales competencies of regional sales teams. Ultimately the FSTM will reduce the time that new hires need to make a positive impact and raise the performance of regional sales team.
Roles and Responsibilities: - Manage the onboarding and integration of new sales hires
- Support CSMs with onboarding/integration of new sales hires in your area of responsibility
- Assess each new hire during integration with the Performance Assessment Tool
- Ensure standardized integration activities are completed
- Teach and coach the clinical sales process
- Model Intuitive’s Individual and Leadership Expectations
- Conduct follow up 2-3 day field rides with new hire immediately after CAST (30-60 days)
- Develop and lead regional field trainings
- Reinforce, train, develop and evaluate sales performance in the field
- Build, plan and execute regional customized sales training for underperforming CSRs
- Support Commercial Learning
- Lead and support CAST, train-the-trainer and advanced training/development programs
- Maintain trainer-level status on technical, clinical and sales training content
- Execute product launch training to sales team in the field
- Support Clinical Sales Director
- Conduct field rides and assist in the interview process of new hires
Qualifications - Minimum 2 years as Clinical Sales Representative at Intuitive with support from sales leadership
- Consistently meets or exceeds sales quota: >50% achievement in last 8 quarters
- Management, Training and/or Field Training experience preferred
- Demonstrates expertise in the following areas:
- Leadership
- Coaching and communication
- General and C/R surgery
- Clinical Sales Milestone activities
- Ability to teach
- Attention to detail
- Ability to excel in high energy, fast paced environment
- Must live in designated region of sales leader (CVP region) and travel 60% of the time
