The opportunity

We are seeking a talented Senior Cost Analyst, to join the AEW&C Wedgetail International team based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities:

• Performance Reporting: Analyse, interpret and prepare weekly business performance metrics and results.
• Project Controls: responsibility for transaction controls, work planning, cost analysis, compliance and integrity of Earned Value Management System
• Baseline Management: Participate in baseline control management process for assigned Control Accounts
• Variance analysis: Initiate and review variance analysis reporting for the Program
• General Reporting: Prepare standard and ad hoc internal and external financial reports for management and present to internal and external stakeholders where required

Experience/Qualifications

• Relevant Business degree is desirable
• Cost Analyst experience and a sound understanding of project management principles; planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost accounting and reporting
• Experience in Project Earned Value/Performance Management Systems in a commercial environment, preferably Defence industry
• Experience in project management software such as Open Plan Professional and Cobra is highly desirable
• Competent user with advanced Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, innovative problem solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong planning and organisational skills
