DescriptionBecome part of ChemTreat's Digital Transformation initiative. ChemTreat, a Danaher Water Quality Operating Company, is seeking an experienced and versatile Digital Transformation Engineer in Glen Allen, Virginia.
The selected individual will become a member of a top-notch digital transformation team developing and operating our water treatment technology and monitoring systems backbone infrastructure, supporting development and deployment requirements. This is a fast-paced, dynamic work environment serving the needs of our Customers across every ChemTreat business area.
The position combines project management, big data, IoT, and analytics technical competencies with agile development practices to deliver rapid, flexible digital platform solutions that help accelerate the organization’s digitalization and digital transformation. Position operates as DevOps with focus on development and implementation of customer solutions that are integrated with ChemTreat’s digital platform.

Essential Functions
- Communicating and collaborating with global interdisciplinary teams on the formulation of IT solutions for external and internal customers
- Provide exceptional customer service for internal and external developers and customers
- Contribute to the dentification and implementation of architecture and systems that will optimize processes and help develop sustainable competitive advantages
- Develop, champion and implement strategies to improve processes and develop new processes; including process re-engineering as required
- Coding and/or scripting solutions to automate processes
- Tier II Support for customer access issues
- System administration support for components of the digital platform (e.g. Cloud environments, Integration Platform, IoT, Business Intelligence, and Analytics)
- Collaborate with the Information Security and R&D associates to ensure data privacy compliance and security requirements are implemented for the cloud environments
- Setup and maintain monitoring, tracking and reporting requirements for IoT environments
- Collaborate on creating and implementing cloud policies and governance
Job Requirements QualificationsCompetencies, Education, Background and Skill Requirements- Exceptional attitude, personal, and work ethic are paramount

- A strong focus on improving business outcomes
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders and working in a global environment
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Project Management or related. Masters or PhD strongly preferred
- 3+ years proven experience effectively supporting cloud, IoT, Big Data, and Analytics environments
- Comfortable with frequent, incremental/iterative code development, testing and deployment
- Ability to use a wide variety of technologies and tools (e.g. Talend, Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, Power BI, etc.)
- Ability to code and script (e.g. Python, Java, C#, PHP, Bash, HTML, JavaScript, etc.)
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Walchem controllers, AccuTank, FlowLine, etc.) and their communication protocols (e.g. Modbus, BACnet, 6LoWPAN , LPWAN, JSON-LD, AMQP, MQTT, MQTT-SN, etc.)
- Data management and analytics skills (e.g. Time series analysis, predictive analytics, etc.)
- Exposure to IoT integration platforms (e.g. Azure IoT, Hitachi/Lumada, PTC/ThingWorx, Software AG/Cumolicity, etc.)
- Multilingual a strong plus (e.g. English, Spanish, Portuguese)
- Travel: about 20% of the time
