Job Overview

SAP Ariba is looking for a strong, results-oriented team manager to lead the Asia Pacific Japan Demand Management Executives (DMEs) tasked with developing and qualifying revenue opportunities within their assigned industry or territory. The Manager will be responsible for pipeline generation and progression in support of Ariba’s sales efforts in Asia Pacific Japan. This role report to the Head of Field Marketing, Asia Pacific Japan.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a team of Demand Management Executives (DMEs)
  • Coach team in establishing and developing expanding relationships with SAP defined customers’ segment of prospects and customers, and generating qualified leads and opportunities through cold calling, responding to inbound leads and marketing campaigns/activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in sales and marketing, and assist the sales process
  • Align and work very closely with all MUs field marketers to ensure the demand management cycle is established and practiced
  • Develop strategies to increase new customer base and increase customer lifetime value
  • Understand and keep up to date on company’s products, industry, and competitive posture
  • Provide ongoing analysis and feedback on key lead development metrics such as campaign effectiveness and contribution to pipeline and revenue
  • Ensure team is upskilled on processes, tools and latest learning. Adoption of relevant tools to increase team productivity and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self- starting, high energy, charismatic leader with experience leading a demand generation or inside sales team
  • Background in procurement and/or software
  • Excels at leading in an ever-changing environment
  • Confident interacting at C-level and VP-level
  • Always approachable and available to the Demand Management team
  • Great presentation skills and experience and expertise in working with and using Excel reporting on a daily basis
  • Strong, highly effective problem solver; expert communicator; conflict resolution skills

Basic Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 4+ Years managing demand generation team of 10 or more people in a B2B environment, preferably in enterprise Cloud solutions
