The system uses wireless location technology to track the movement of athletes during pre-season, regular season, and post-season football games. Each Specialist will be assigned to a home stadium for the playing season where they will work within a team to support activities related to the player tracking system to ensure successful game day operations.

Responsibilities

For each professional football game played at the Specialist's designated stadium, the candidate will be responsible for performing a number of activities that help ensure smooth operation of the player tracking system. The candidate will also liaise with operators of third-party systems as needed to resolve any interoperability issues. The responsibilities primarily include:

  • Apply and verify software patches
  • Monitor system performance
  • Troubleshoot technical issues

  • Perform data backups

During weeks in which the Player Tracking System Specialist's designated stadium is not hosting a sporting event, the Specialist may be asked to travel to stadiums other than their home stadium in the event that a Specialist from another stadium is unable to work. Must possess outstanding system troubleshooting and interpersonal skills, and maintain a degree of professionalism representative of Zebra Technologies in all environments. The successful candidate will interact with Zebra hardware, software, and support teams, as well as personnel from other organizations that coordinate game day operations. The position requires responsiveness when issues are encountered, ability to work calmly and have the flexibility to work non-traditional hours based on when games are played, and temperament suited to work within a small team to complete required tasks that ensure successful game day operations.
