Who Are You?

The Ogilvy paid media team develops and executes integrated paid media strategies across both traditional media channels, such as; TV print and radio as well as all digital channels ranging from heavy social, to display, online video and high impact; to make our clients grow. We match great creative ideas with effective distribution and leading expertise in paid media.

The Assistant Media planner will be highly supervised by the Associate Media Director and will be required to assist in planning, implementation and maintenance of interactive media campaigns. The Assistant Media Planner position is entry level and represents the start of a digital media career. This position is essential to the day-to-day running of the media account and requires an individual that works well in a team-based, fast paced, detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution and finalization of campaigns.
  • Monitor campaigns and identify the variables that can be optimized and execute optimization.
  • Aggregate results and prepare monthly reporting and key learnings.
  • Support Paid Media team with setting up new vendors, assist with invoicing, billing, insertion orders and financial record management.
  • Assist in the development of media recommendations and planning for future campaigns.
  • Responsible for 3rd party ad server/tracker systems, including campaign set-up, traffic of creative and the pulling/creation of client performance reports

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience; preferably some agency experience or media-related internship
  • Programmatic, social media or online video buying experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Aptitude for learning new skills (both technical and organic) and procedures is essential!
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Adaptable to change and able to multi-task
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Able to speak and write clearly and persuasively
