CDK Global is looking for innovative Development Manager to enhance and expand Cobalt’s digital marketing platform. You will have an opportunity to provide overall leadership to one or multiple development teams and accountability for their performance and productivity. You will interface with upper management and other managers to facilitate delivery of engineering initiatives. You will have overall accountability for the quality and schedule of all development deliverables. You will provide input to the strategic direction of product roadmap and communicate roadmap to the team. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a group of developers to ensure timely delivery of all development deliverables to acceptable quality levels.
• Work with program and product management and provide input to product roadmap; provide estimates for technical components.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the team; ensure engineering excellence
• Establish goals and performance measures for the team; conduct performance reviews, coach and mentor team members to meet strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Experience managing large web scale projects, preferably J2EE-based.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Experience building and developing high performance teams (hiring, career development, motivation).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with larger multi-disciplined groups.
• 10+ years experience with software development
• Ability to speak to the strengths and weaknesses of various technology solutions.
• Solid problem solving capability.
• 6+ years experience in a technical leadership role.
• 3+ years experience in people management (hiring, performance management, etc.)
• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience/education
