Job Description
Job Role Summary - Technical support for Production Accounting group including complex data analyses; initiating and developing data analyses and reporting methodologies by monitoring new technologies in the industry
- Subject matter expert in measurement and production allocation methodology and best industry practices
- Able to troubleshoot all system and allocation issues that are presented to them by the PA group or Revenue and help determine the solution
- Assist with special projects as needed by Production Accounting
- Perform advanced data analyses and make recommendations through a multi-discipline approach to projects. Provide high-level support to other business line departments e.g. Revenue Accounting
- Ensure timely execution of monthly Production Accounting duties by assisting the department as needed when complexities or issues arise
Job Responsibilities - Available to travel 50% of work schedule or as needed to support Production Accountants and Operations located in multiple office locations
- Training employees and field personnel on production system applications and allocation fundamentals
- Analyzing and interpreting data, oil and gas agency rules and regulations
- Multitasking, troubleshooting and solving concurrent issues reported by team and operations
- Interpreting complex production flow setups and interpreting how to set them up in the allocation system
- Write code using SQL to create complex stored procedures and formulas to handle allocations the system is not able to support out of the box
- Assist team and IT with acquisitions and divestures
Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree recommended. Engineering discipline preferred.
- 10 years plus production experience preferred
- 10 years plus oil/gas experience required
- Experience working in the oil / gas industry, with field data capture and Production Accounting
- Experience with P2s Merrick Suite of products: eVIN, Procount, and Carte preferred
- Advanced knowledge of database query design (SQL)
- Experience with Seven Lakes - JOYN would be a plus
- Excellent presentation and training skills in a classroom setting
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Possess the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Project management
- Advanced computer skills to include MS Office Suite of products, multiple spreadsheet applications and Citrix/ProCount systems along with oil and gas production for government agency systems.
