Responsibilities:

• Build software components using a variety of programming languages (C#, .NET, WPF, Python, etc.) that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
• Develop excellent software that extends the capabilities of the ArcGIS platform
• Solve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences
• Create and execute unit test plans and develop integration tests
• Collaborate with product engineers and developers throughout the development process
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices
• Diagnose and fix software problems
• Act as a subject matter expert in the code, mentor team members, and create innovation for complex user interface problems
• Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness including documentation

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience building software components and applications
• Strong Python skills
• Superior design and software engineering skills
• Experience with writing testable software
• Experience with Agile and other software development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS or other mapping technologies
• Familiarity with domain experience such as military, intel, and/or national security
