Who is Credible?
Credible is looking for a data-driven, results-oriented Email Marketing Manager to join our team to lead and execute our user engagement strategy – primarily through email. You will own efforts to drive conversion improvements and retention through our email channel by crafting and testing re-engagement campaigns and partnering closely with our Marketing and Product teams.
Based in our offices in the heart of San Francisco, you will play a meaningful role in our growing team. This is a great opportunity for you to join an early stage company and shape the direction of our long-term relationship with our users.
The role is a full-time individual contributor role, and compensation will be based on experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define and drive a strategy to increase user engagement across all financial verticals using the most effective and profitable channels
- Own all email re-engagement, including drip campaigns, transactional emails and lifetime marketing
- Lead the email development process, including ideation, creative production, testing, deployment and reporting
- Use data to identify and prioritize opportunities to engage more effectively and drive desired behaviors
- Identify and test into nascent or new channels (e.g. SMS/text, postcards)
- Identify cross-channel marketing opportunities and partner with other teams (e.g. call center, paid social) to execute a seamless lifecycle strategy
- Partner with Product, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure strategy and execution is well coordinated and maintenance of consistent brand and product messaging
- Proactively push new infrastructure enhancements with Engineering team to improve performance (e.g. adding new fields, implementing new events to trigger email at appropriate point in lifecycle)
- Formulate and ship A/B tests to continually improve our user engagement strategy
- Report results of our engagement efforts to the company
- Work in a dynamic start-up environment where iterating quickly is critical
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Management or Marketing role with a focus on email and lifecycle marketing with significant emphasis on A/B testing and conversion optimization
- Experience working with large databases and multiple fields for targeting and personalization
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
- Excellent analytical abilities, including experience with Excel and other analytics tools
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation systems (e.g. SFMC (preferred), Act-on, Responsys, Marketo, Hubspot, etc.)
- Experience with IP warming and addressing deliverability issues
- Basic HTML/CSS modification
- Excellent communicator, with the ability to work effectively across functions
- A commitment to treating your coworkers with respect, turning your ideas into actions through collaboration and communication
- Bachelor's degree (in economics, statistics, math, or marketing preferred) or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
- Experience working with consumer-oriented FinTech products or in the student loan space
- Experience working in the student loan / personal loan/ mortgage space
- Text/SMS and direct mail marketing
- Experience writing SQL queries, Looker or Tableau
