Micron is looking for motivated students for hands-on work in semiconductor memory testing. Come apply! As a Technology Development intern in the probe department at Micron, you will get an opportunity to work on leading edge memory technology with a team with varied strengths. We are tasked with innovating new testing solutions to enable faster development of next generation memory technology. We will work with you to build develop your skills as a software engineer as well as providing you with the tools needed to successfully build a tool our engineers can utilize well after the internship is complete. The goal of this project is develop a faster bench electrical characterization solution and correlate fails to the high volume probe platforms.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Engage with the yield enhancement and product engineering interns to correlate tests on existing bench platforms and to high volume testing platforms
  • Build and create new techniques and find unusual and innovative ways to apply existing tools in order to identify significant process issues
  • Learn and apply knowledge of automated test equipment to a bench characterization tool
  • Interpret and summarize the data, and ultimately presenting the project to the teams involved
  • Document instructions on how to use the new tool

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ambitious and enthusiastic to find creative solutions to interesting problems
  • Ability to energize the team and communicate with a diverse set of engineers and technicians.
  • Highly motivated with good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal along with a basic set of presentation skills
  • Ownership of critical thinking skills, good work ethic, and ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Interest in both the hardware and software
  • Acquired skills in coding in languages such as Assembly, C, C++, Perl, and/or Python
  • Knowledge in NAND or DRAM memory technology is a plus

The summer internship will focus on collaboration with other teams inside the Micron to develop an improved strategy for bench testing and seeking out opportunities for an improved collaboration between the three groups so we can deliver a unified solution for yield improvement and probe data interpretation.

Education:
