Aon is looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager

As part of an industry-leading team, you will market and communicate our Reinsurance Solutions business by delivering innovative and effective campaigns that drive and create value for our clients.

Your impact as a Marketing & Communications Manager

The Marketing & Communications Manager will develop and execute marketing and communications strategies to support growth initiatives of our Reinsurance Solutions business. Working in conjunction with the Head of US Marketing & Communications and the wider team, the firm’s marketing and communications strategies will create commercial value by building broad awareness and understanding of Aon’s impact via showcasing the firm’s capabilities, innovation and leadership, in addition to bringing products and solutions to market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective integrated marketing campaigns and programs using traditional, digital, and social channels to generate leads and sales opportunities
  • Measure campaign performance and return on investment, and recommend changes to plan based on results
  • Develop and maintain client-ready communications, marketing collateral and thought leadership content
  • Draft internal communications to help colleagues better understand the firm’s differentiated expertise and growth strategy
  • Manage large, complex events with budgetary responsibilities
  • Identify industry channels and activate strategic partnerships to support growth objectives
  • Partner with corporate and reinsurance marketing colleagues to effectively leverage marketing resources
  • Partner with senior business leaders in the development and planning of marketing and communication activities
  • Work in conjunction with the Head of PR to create and manage US PR campaigns, and tactics, which build industry awareness and position Aon, and our senior leaders, as the voice of the industry

Your Knowledge and Expertise

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing and communications experience at a professional or financial services firm
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; advanced degree a plus (e.g., Marketing, Communication, Business)
  • Ability to understand the dynamics of a complex business and navigate a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong project management skills to execute programs with speed, accuracy and efficiency
  • Team player with great attitude and the ability to lead teams cross-functionally, partner effectively to drive consensus and build strong relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently in an environment requiring various levels of stakeholder management
  • Balance strategy with execution and able to pivot with changing demands while meeting deadlines
  • Creative problem solver
  • Metrics-driven mindset to show internal constituents how campaigns are performing
  • Experience in leveraging new media channels and social media

Preferred skills

  • Working knowledge of CRM and email marketing tools such as Eloqua
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) Kentico and SharePoint to support content development on our external microsites and intranet
  • Experience with Google Analytics and communicating metrics broadly, including metrics compiled from various sources to tell a broad story
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Video editing skills using tools such as Wochit
