Description
Purpose of the position
The Product Manager High will work closely with the VP of Curriculum Product Management to manage the continuous improvement of the curriculum portfolio to optimize the OBL learning experience. This includes defining the product roadmap, coordinating market research, communicating curriculum-related launches and updates to both internal and external stakeholders and identifying opportunities to increase learner outcomes, satisfaction and engagement. This role will work closely with various cross-functional teams, including but not limited to development, marketing, technology, engineering product management, and partner school support teams.
Core tasks and responsibilities
- Support the product owner in the development of product vision, goals, themes and features. This translates into a product roadmap and long-term product strategy and feature development.
- Engagement in day-to-day activities with your Development Team. This involves leading refinement sessions and engaging with your Scrum team, providing direction and focus
- Support the development of a prioritized Product Backlog, including the development of user stories, acceptance criteria and scenarios for your Development Team to create working software.
- Work with Product owner to refine backlog contents and priority, ensuring sufficient depth of groomed items for development consumption and commitment
- Review software for end-user experience accuracy
- Effectively communicate product release contents and expected product capabilities/behavior to stakeholders.
- Coordinates products between departments for global visibility.
- Communicate the product vision to the technical teams as well as to other teams within the company.
- Ensuring the right features are being development, taking into account the value being delivered against the cost of delivery
Key relationships
- Work with other Agile and product teams to identify and address cross-project dependencies.
- Identify and analyze project risks and manage mitigation process with project team and stakeholders.
- Negotiates internally at senior levels regarding important issues within their own area
- Begins to develop relationships with senior leaders across the organization, customers and suppliers
- Track and communicate team velocity and progress to both the customer and the team.

- Highly effective communicator
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years product management experience, including experience managing digital products
- Experience in an educational setting is beneficial, K-12 specifically is a plus
- Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires significant flexibility, self-direction, and creativity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office programs)
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines
- Agile/ SAFe experience preferred
