www.jpmoranchase.com Background Commercial Banking Wholesale Lending Services Middle Office (“WLS MO”) is a private side wholesale function supporting multiple lines of business across Corporate Investment Banking and Commercial Banking. As we continue to expand coverage to broader line of business and geographies across APAC, we need to further strengthen our organization to better support our clients and business partners.
Position Summary We are looking for a highly experienced operation lead with proven track record to join and lead the team within WLS MO Singapore Hub to drive strategic transformation, solution design while streamlining processes, reduce bureaucracy to deliver best in class client experience. Based in Singapore, the position reports to the Head of WLS MO APAC and is a key member of the management team.
Key responsibilities: - Provide strong leadership across the team, inspire, motivate and instill confidence and trust
- Act as senior contact overseeing teams responsible for operational facets of bilateral, syndicated deal & facility management, loan booking, accounting, loan agency and secondary loan trading support for traditional credit & loan products
- Align daily activities to drive strategic business objectives
- Identify and drive the implementation of technology initiatives and continuous process improvement
- Manage a broad change agenda in a dynamic manner ensuring efficient and speedy execution
- Provide performance management, objective setting and coaching of both direct reports and broader group
- Establish the team as trusted advisor to stakeholders and build strong business partners engagement
- Participate in project proposals, group objectives, regional discussions; drive strategic direction and vision of the group
- Protects the firm by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements
Qualifications / Experience: - Bachelors degree, plus min of 10 - 12 years relevant work experience
- Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problem root cause and drive resolution. Exhibit initiative to raise issues to appropriate/relevant parties when needed and ensure follow through
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
- Proven track record in leading broad spectrum of initiatives providing creative viewpoints, insight and suggestions and general group engagement with operational and business partners
- Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment
- Act with sense of urgency and ability to manage and direct staff and deliver all facets of performance management
- Good communication and relationship-building skills both with team members as well as business partners. Ability to interact confidently with all levels of stakeholders
- Keen sense of corporate awareness with an understanding of Investment Banking operations, Front Office business and Corporate support structures
- Business acumen with ability to understand the overarching business environment to drive business results in alignment with strategic objectives
- Good level awareness of Corporate Banking and its products. A sound knowledge of credit policies and credit systems would be a distinct added advantage
- Knowledge of Loan IQ and facility documentation will be an advantage
